Justice Forum
Our Parish will host a Justice Forum on Saturday, August 20th, in the gym. Our focus topics are youth violence/peaceful communities with keynote speaker and panelist Enrique Flores and immigration/migration with keynote speaker and panelist Deacon Steve Herrera. We will spend 3 hours on each topic, with panel discussions, questions, and break-out sessions. 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Plan to attend to learn more about these issues and become part of the solution. Lunch break will offer a chance to connect with experts in both fields, including Gilroy Police Department, immigration attorneys, and Gilroy Unified School District. Hospitality, lunch, and childcare provided. Call the Parish Office to register.
Saturday Night Fellowship
Once a month we celebrate friendship at the Sunday morning Masses. Our parishioners, Leslie and Michael Benson, who own and operate The Claddagh Restaurant, wanted to share friendship on Saturday night. So, this Saturday, July 17th, join us after the 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Masses for their delicious clam chowder. Head over to the overhang and picnic benches to visit with parishioners and enjoy.
Care for Our Church
With all our summer visitors and all the commotion in the parish, we can lose track of our responsibilities to keep our worship space welcoming. For the time being, the only restrooms are those in the vestibule (First Street side). We can all help to keep them clean and inviting. Our songbooks and missalettes are for all to share. They need to remain in the Church. If you would like to subscribe and receive your own seasonal missalette, contact the Parish Office for the choices. Please take your bulletin home. It’s for your weekly reminder of all the events in the Parish.
More Egg Cartons!
Thank you to all who have been bringing egg cartons for Saint Joseph Family Center. It is a constant need, so please bring your single-dozen egg cartons to the entrances of the Church.
